  • Associate Professor, University of Maryland, July 2018 – Present  

Writing 394: Advanced Business Writing. An online, project-based course practicing the applications of business writing. Class culminates in a formal report that incorporates research and support for proposed solutions to real-life issues.  

  • Adjunct Professor, St. Lawrence Univ., Spring 2019 – Spring 2020 

ND 255: Upper-level undergraduate course where students effectively analyze and interpret real world business problems, accompanied by a series of speakers and case analysis. Course concludes with a Case Study Competition judged by alumni and local business professionals. 

  • Adjunct Professor, SUNY Canton & SUNY Potsdam, Fall 2016 – Spring 2019 

English 101: Composition and the Spoken Word. Developed curriculum that emphasized writing research papers and the presentation as well as documentation of research.  

Business 301: Principles of Management. Taught an online course that builds upon pre-requisites within the program, engaging students in decision making and management philosophy.  

  • Adjunct Professor, Camden County College, Fall 2012 

Professor of Writing and Composition at the Camden campus. Focused on essay structure, organization, academic grammar as well as students’ personal development. 

  • Writing Assistant, Rutgers-Camden Learning Center, Fall 2011-Fall 2012 

Assisted students one-on-one throughout the writing process in developing and organizing ideas, finding focus in a draft, and writing drafts/revising. College Learning and Reading Association Certified.  

  • Creative Writing Instructor, R.C. Molina Elementary, Spring 2012 

Taught creative writing to fourth and fifth graders in Camden, NJ as part of a course on teaching in urban schools. Focused mostly on poetry, “translating” art and other assignments appropriate for young ESL learners.  

  • Faculty Liaison, University of Washington, September 2010-June 2011 

Tutored and assisted in the Swahili 100-level courses. Worked specifically with students who had learning disabilities and students on academic probation. 

  • Content Tutor, Student Athlete Academic Services, Univ. of Washington, March 2010-June 2011 

Tutored students in all levels of Writing, English literature, and the Classics.  

  • Private Tutor, Seattle WA, Sept 2007-June 2009 

Worked one-on-one with troubled and disabled high school students. Covered multiple content areas and prepared the students for college applications. All students tutored were admitted to a four year university.
